"Jane's research has focused on the path of migration, its adventures, its losses and its gains. This is particularly relevant to the path between Italy and Australia, one Jane's family has trodden and which her ongoing creative work explores. In any representational art form it is expressive transformation which creates the qualities that convey meaning; surface, colour, tone and with sculpture, particularly texture, transpose image into evocative statement. It is these which touch us and let us join in the journey these works suggest"

"Jane ha incentrato la propria ricerca creativa sulle avventure della migrazione, su ciò che si perde e ciò che si guadagna con essa. Si tratta di un tema che lega inestricabilmente i destini di Italia e Australia, che la famiglia di Jane ha vissuto sulla propria pelle e che lei stessa esplora nella propria opera. In qualsiasi forma artistica figurativa il significato è veicolato attraverso la trasformazione di superfici, colori, tonalità e texture che, in particolare nella scultura, trasformano l’immagine in un’espressione evocativa che ci emoziona coinvolgendoci nel viaggio intrapreso dall’artista."
